Considerando que, finda a construção do Centro de Processamento de Resíduos e Centro de Valorização Orgânica por Compostagem da Ilha de Santa Maria, se torna necessário colocar este Centro em funcionamento e dar um destino adequado, aos resíduos não passiveis de valorização, bem como do refugo das operações ai realizadas, é relevante executar os trabalhos de adaptação dos equipamentos de contentorização existentes, a fim de permitir uma gestão logística sustentável, assegurando a compatibilidade dos contentores com a estação de transferência existente nesse Centro, bem como a sua certificação para transporte marítimo de bens.
