O sistema das Lagoas artificiais das Contendas é composto por 4 eletrobombas, que estão em funcionamento desde 2012. As bombas lá instaladas são da marca Grundfos, CRIE 20-17 e são do início de 2000 (25 anos). A Grundfos já não asseguram as peças de reservas (só têm peças de reserva para modelos a partir de 2004). Tendo em conta que duas destas eletrobombas se encontram avariadas, urge a necessidade de adquirir duas novas eletrobombas, para o bom funcionamento do sistema de abastecimento de água das Contendas.
