In this project, adhesive bonding technology is going to be used to develop an innovative methodology to bond horseshoes to the horse’s hooves. The main goal is to develop an innovative horseshoe that can be directly applied to the horse hoof using an adhesive that was previously validated and tested in multiple conditions to gain market trust. The specific objectives of the present project are: ? Development of an innovative assembly method of the horseshoe resorting to a tailored adhesive to the application. ? Development of a dismantling approach that ensures a safe and fast method to remove the horseshoe. ? Design of a new horseshoe specifically for adhesive bonding. ?
