The primary objective of the project is to develop and implement solutions to address the inherent challenges of adopting advanced digital systems, specifically in terms of cybersecurity. The project emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on digitalization and the challenges associated with the new industrial landscape, while maintaining strong connections with local and regional stakeholders, particularly businesses and the public sector. By fostering an environment conducive to the development of new industries, technologies, services, and products, the project aims to strengthen the economic foundation of the region. The main objectives are as follows: • Developing innovative methods and solutions to enhance the security, privacy, and trustworthiness of digital systems; • Strengthening internationally recognized scientific and technological research capacity, especially in the fields of cybersecurity, privacy, and trust in digital systems; • Stimulating a high-value, technology-driven economy by rationalizing and modernizing R&D&I infrastructures and promoting excellence; • Promoting research and development activities in this area, fostering cooperation, and enhancing integration into international R&D&I networks. The project is structured around three complementary lines of research, each crucial for ensuring secure, private, and trustworthy digital systems. These research areas encompass a significant range of essential topics in cybersecurity, privacy, and trust, which are of high interest to the scientific community and hold great relevance for the economic growth of the northern region.
