O QUE FOI APRESENTADO
Finalidade da operação
1. Establish a Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) Model for A. ocellatum: Develop an innovative DEB model to understand and predict the energy and mass balance of A. ocellatum throughout its lifecycle, considering the influence of various environmental factors, such as temperature, salinity, light, among others. Continuously refine its accuracy and applicability by comparing its predictions with historical data, and adjusting parameters based on real-time environmental data inputs. 2. Implement an Integrated Monitoring System: Deploy advanced IoT-based sensors in aquaculture systems to monitor real-time environmental data crucial for the DEB model's predictive analytics. Combine this data with meteorological parameters measured in near-real time, to have an in-depth description of the…

Combine this data with meteorological parameters measured in near-real time, to have an in-depth description of the environmental factors controlling A. oceallatum’s life cycle. 3. Enhance Understanding of A. ocellatum's Life Cycle: Conduct in-depth in vitro studies to elucidate the parasite's life cycle stages, interaction with hosts, and proliferation under diverse environmental conditions to inform the DEB model. 4. Predict and Manage Parasitic Outbreaks: Develop a predictive model, built upon the DEB model and the monitoring system, to provide aquaculture operators with a tool for proactive management and mitigation strategies. 5. Foster Sustainable Aquaculture Practices: Advocate for and develop practices that reduce reliance on chemical treatments in aquaculture, promoting an environmentally sustainable and economically viable industry. 6. Engage with Stakeholders for Knowledge Transfer: Work closely with aquaculture industry stakeholders, to ensure their knowledge and best practices in managing A. ocellatum outbreaks effectively integrated into the research plan. 7. Contribute to Educational and Professional Training: Leverage the project's research activities to provide educational content and professional training opportunities, thereby investing in the future workforce of the aquaculture sector.
