Finalidade da operação
The ByTrain project aims to establish the boron ylide-mediated transport and internalization as a powerful technology to improve the delivery of therapeutic agents with poor cellular uptake. Specifically, this project aims to elucidate the mechanism of boron ylide interaction with biological membranes and to use this technology to implement a stimuli-responsive platform for the selective delivery of clinically used cytotoxic drugs, oligonucleotides, and proteins to various cancer cell models. This will be achieved using well-defined BN cores, modular conjugates, and viruses. ByTrain aims to generate fundamental scientific knowledge and valuable technologies that can benefit patients, create a dynamic multidisciplinary environment ideally suited for training the next generation of chemical biologists, and provide a forum for communicating to society the importance of advancing drug discovery for safer and more effective treatments.
