And all will be tested at real life environment at TRL6-7 The objectives of MoreWood are parallel with Kastamonu Entegre’s R&D strategy, which is: • Minimising formaldehyde emissions of conventional products • Commercialising bio-based products instead of petrol-based ones • Developing functional surfaces • Spreading the use of wood-based panels in construction industry The innovative aspect of the MoreWood project is that tannin resin will be used as a binder in the insulation panels to be produced and tannin foam will be used as a core layer in the structural insulation panels. Thus, it is aimed to obtain more environmentally friendly products than their counterparts.
