O QUE FOI APRESENTADO
Finalidade da operação
ADSafeVANET aims to enhance the safety in vehicular networks by researching new human machine interfaces that provide information to drivers in an innovative approach reducing the distraction of drivers. ADSafeVANET leverages on the advances of 5G/6G technologies to enable real-time and secure communications in VANETs encompassing trustful interactions from Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I), Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), to Vehicle-to-Pedestrian (V2P). The goals of the ADSafeVANET are 3-fold: 1. Design, research and validate innovative approaches on how information can be provided to drivers (and occupants) in vehicles through innovative HMIs in Vehicles that combine diverse technologies to enhance safety by reducing driver distraction. a) KPI1.1 - Research, at least two approaches to provide…

The goals of the ADSafeVANET are 3-fold: 1. Design, research and validate innovative approaches on how information can be provided to drivers (and occupants) in vehicles through innovative HMIs in Vehicles that combine diverse technologies to enhance safety by reducing driver distraction. a) KPI1.1 - Research, at least two approaches to provide information to the user (i.e., visual, sound, haptics) that reduce distraction of drivers compliant with standards for in-vehicle visual and auditory information presentation (ISO 15008:2017 and ISO 15006:2011). b) KPI1.2 – Enhance safety in overtaking manoeuvres by reducing the risks associated with use cases with reduced visibility, approach to be validated through Virtual Reality driving simulations. 2. Investigate approaches, protocols, technologies to allow the information sharing between vehicles and infrastructure (V2I), between vehicles (V2V), and between vehicles and everything (V2X) towards a collaborative situational awareness framework. a) KPI2.1 – Propose, an optimization approach for vehicles with multihomed connections. b) KPI2.2 – Research solutions for information sharing in 3 distinct use cases: V2I, V2V and V2P. c) KPI2.3 – Propose approaches to enhance routing and information sharing in multipath scenarios. 3. Investigate security approaches that contribute to privacy compliance and establish lightweight and dynamic reputation systems for vehicles in (quasi) real-time, towards trustworthy VANETs. a) KPI3.1 – Research pseudo-anonymization solutions for privacy compliance in vehicles and compliance with the evolution of standards for vehicles with support for MAC address randomization (e.g., IEEE 802.11 bh, IEEE802.11 bi). b) KPI3.2 - Research distributed reputation systems, that can have information at the RSUs, at the OBUs, and which information can serve as root of trust to establish secure communications in V2V, V2I use cases.
