Ecossistemas empreendedores nas indústrias criativas em territórios de baixa densidade

Low-density territories, despite facing various challenges hindering their economic, social, and cultural progress, harbour unique and underexplored opportunities such as natural resources, cultural heritage, and traditional crafts. However, they grapple with issues like a small and ageing population, limited business activity, and isolation, exacerbating their struggle to attract and retain talent, particularly within the dynamic realm of creative industries. These industries are pivotal for driving innovation, economic diversification, and job creation, as well as enhancing quality of life and exporting cultural products. Recognizing the potential of entrepreneurial ecosystems (EE) as drivers of economic growth, multiple studies highlight their relevance in fostering development, aligning closely with the characteristics and needs of the regions they inhabit. By leveraging the inherent strengths of these territories and cultivating supportive environments for entrepreneurship, EEs have the potential to catalyse positive change and spur sustainable development in low-density areas. In this sense, the main objective of this project is to study, support, foster, and promote entrepreneurship in creative industries in low-density territories through an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Specific objectives include: i) Study the characteristics, motivations, needs and obstacles of creative entrepreneurs in low-density territories ii) Identify and study good practices (projects, companies, support systems, etc.) related to creative industries iii) Study EEs in low-density territories and the participation of local actors in these ecosystems iv) Create, test, validate and implement a specific training programme for creative entrepreneurs (existing and potential entrepreneurs) that can be applied in other territories. v) Evaluate existing support policies for creative entrepreneurs and propose new support and promotion policies. vi) Foster and promote creative entrepreneurship in low-density territories. The implementation of this project is expected to encourage the creation of new companies and support existing ones within entrepreneurial ecosystems in low-density territories. Additionally, it aims to contribute to the development of supportive policies for entrepreneurs in such areas.
