Finalidade da operação
EnergyFLEX aims to promote the widespread deployment of flexible demand-side response (DSR) to accelerate the energy transition. EnergyFLEX aims to promote the widespread deployment of flexible demand-side response (DSR) to accelerate the energy transition. Its specific objectives are to: 1) Promote the emergence of energy flexibility markets by enabling their efficient operation and liquidity through the incorporation of DSR, optimizing distributed generation, load management, and energy storage systems (ESS); 2) Facilitate the integration of DSR into the energy system through the development of innovative business models. 3) Develop advanced modelling, simulation, and optimisation tools that are bottom-up, physically based, and fine-grained, hybridized with artificial intelligence techniques to accurately estimate the flexibility potential and economic value associated with DSR; 3) Promote the flexibility of multiple ESS, such as electric vehicles (EVs) and second-life batteries in stationary applications, by developing robust models and methods to be integrated into energy management systems (EMS); 4) Derive regulatory, and policy recommendations for policymaking to promote sustained behavioural and organisational demand-side flexibility across sectors (services, commerce, industry, agriculture, residential) through a people-centred approach informed by real settings. EnergyFLEX contributes directly to the EU's 2050 decarbonisation strategy and the 2030 Agenda, being aligned with SDG 7 (target 7.2 energy system resilience, safety, and independence of supply).
