The research objectives (RO) of the 3D-CARB4E&E project include: - RO1: Synthesis of 3D-printed polymeric monoliths using established photoresin compositions and unit cells (Task 2). - RO2: Carbonization of the 3D-printed polymeric monoliths to produce carbon monoliths with a defined macro and meso structure (Task 4). - RO3: Systematic evaluation of new formulations of photoresins, starting with varying porogen concentration, followed by change in monomers to include nitrogenated moieties, and finally, the addition of iron in the photoresin to increase the activity of the 3D-printed carbon monoliths in the proposed applications (Task 2). - RO4: Assessment of the catalytic activity of the materials in the catalytic wet peroxide oxidation (CWPO) of contaminants of emerging concern found in…

The research objectives (RO) of the 3D-CARB4E&E project include: - RO1: Synthesis of 3D-printed polymeric monoliths using established photoresin compositions and unit cells (Task 2). - RO2: Carbonization of the 3D-printed polymeric monoliths to produce carbon monoliths with a defined macro and meso structure (Task 4). - RO3: Systematic evaluation of new formulations of photoresins, starting with varying porogen concentration, followed by change in monomers to include nitrogenated moieties, and finally, the addition of iron in the photoresin to increase the activity of the 3D-printed carbon monoliths in the proposed applications (Task 2). - RO4: Assessment of the catalytic activity of the materials in the catalytic wet peroxide oxidation (CWPO) of contaminants of emerging concern found in river bodies considering Bragança as model region and studying contaminants detected in Bragança under a simulated matrix (Task 9). - RO5: Investigation of alternative configurations (unit cell) to enhance the activity of carbon monoliths in CWPO (Task 3). - RO6: Examination of the catalytic activity of the best sample for CWPO considering real effluents coming from distinct sources (industrial wastewaters: olive mill wastewater, winery wastewater, and leachate water from municipal solid waste management; and municipal waters) (Task 10); - RO7: Evaluation of the performance and development of mechanism insights of the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) on the 3D-printed carbon monoliths (Task 7). - RO8: Obtention of a prototype of a 3D-printed carbon monolith gas diffusion electrode half-cell (Task 8).
